Hoopfest!
Ladies and gentlemen, the 21st Annual Hoopfest is underway in Spokane right now. Hoopfest is the world's largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament, and man is it growning. With around 4,000 teams playing on the streets of downtown Spokane and a quarter million players and spectators, downtown will be jam packed. And with a high of 79 degrees today, Spokane won't be as hot as it usually is during Hoopfest time, but you can bet your britches it'll be hot downtown today. To learn more and to see results, visit the Hoopfest website.

Homemade Vanilla Milkshakes!
Found this recipe in July's Redbook. Sounds delicious to me.
1/2 Tbsp Coffee-Mate Sugar Free French Vanilla powdered creamer
1/2 cup fat-free vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup light vanilla soy milk
2 no-calorie sweetener packets (such as Spelnda)
1/8 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup crushed ice or 5 to 8 iced cubes
2 Tbsp fat-free Reddi-wip
Directions: In a small bowl, combine powered creamer and 1 Tbsp hot water and stir until dissolved. Transfer mixture to a blender. Add all other ingredients except Reddi-wip to blender. Blend at high speed until completely combined. Pour shake into class and top with Reddi-wip. If you like, finish it off with a cherry!
Serves one, and only has 162 calories with 2.25 grams of fat, 28.5 grams of carbs, 1 gram of fiber, and 6 grams of protein!

The 10 Most Important things They Didn't Teach You in School
A friend sent me this article, and I really enjoyed it so I thought I would pass it on to y'all.
By the time you're 30, you'll be hit with the crushing truth of just how much the grownups didn't teach you when you were in school. And, while liberals and conservatives haggle over whether public schools need more funding or more lessons on the Ten Commandments, we think all can agree there are some very basic, useful things that our children really, really should know.
Therefore when Cracked starts its line of private schools, know that your kids won't graduate without having passed...

Why Emotional Cheating is so much worse...
My girlfriends and I have had multiple conversations about how getting emotionally cheated on sometimes is worse than physically getting cheated on. We've all experienced it, but why is it worse than physical cheating?? Askmen.com recently conducted a survey, and this is what they found:
A little over 75% of women said that emotional cheating would leave them feeling more betrayed than sexual cheating. Emotional cheating is the type of cheating that most women find more destructive for their relationship. Women know that there are many other attractive women out there and that men are very visually stimulated by nature. Not that this condones sexual cheating, but it is well known that some men have a hard time controlling their sexual desires. The situation is more hurtful to a woman when her partner finds someone else whose personality he enjoys more. She often sees this as a sign that she no longer is interesting to him and that she is not fulfilling his emotional needs. This is also the type of cheating that has less rigid boundaries. It's easy to tell if someone is cheating sexually -- they are either having sex or they aren't -- but what defines emotional cheating from a woman's point of view?
